Trustees
We are seeking to grow our Board of Trustees to ensure that we have the skills and knowledge to help the charity develop as we celebrate our 25th anniversary.
We are keen to diversify our Board to reflect the communities we work in and also bring a broader range of skills and experience to add to the mix of experience we currently have. Bringing your skills and experience to Home-Start Bradford District will help us to become a stronger Charity that can build on its valued support to families and children in the Bradford District.
No previous experience as a Trustee is necessary as training and support will be offered to successful candidates. We are interested in bringing in a broad range of experience, but in particular we would value skills and experience with safeguarding, data protection, fundraising, marketing and PR, and strategic leadership – however, Trustees with any experience and skills are welcome to apply.
About the role
With the other Trustees, you will be ultimately responsible for ensuring that our charity continues to support families in Bradford with young children in the best way possible. You will also ensure that our staff and volunteers are supported in their work, and have the resources they need to help families to flourish and thrive.
The Trustees meet every two months on a Monday (2-4pm), with a small amount of preparation and followup between meetings.
Whilst we would of course welcome somebody with previous Trustee experience, this is potentially a great opportunity for somebody who hasn’t been a Trustee before as our board is currently a mix of longer-serving, experienced, Trustees who can help to support you as a new Trustee, alongside newer Trustees, so you wouldn’t be the only new person.
