The volunteer preparation course starts on Thursday 17 September 2026 and will run for seven weeks on Thursdays as follows:

Welcome, Introduction and role Values & attitudes; Communication Supporting parents & meeting the needs of children Confidentiality and diary sheets Safeguarding children
A catch-up session will be available for any missed modules on Thursday 12 November 2026.
Each volunteer will need to have completed an application form (including providing contact details to obtain two references) had an interview and provided documents for a DBS check.
